A Walk Down Front Street concentrates
on the four block business district between
Queen and King Streets. This was the hub
of town when most of the authors were
growing up in Georgetown. Time was spent
researching the period c. 1900-2000.

On Friday, June 15th the Winyah Bay Heritage Festival Committee presented
the Georgetown County Historical Society with a check for $25,000 from the
2012 festival for the new home of the Georgetown County Museum,
now under construction at 120 Broad Street. 2012 marked the fifth year of the
festival which to date has raised $200,000 for the Museum. Left to right are
Debbie Thomas, Janet Williams and Jan Lane of the festival steering committee
and René King, Georgetown County Historical Society President.
